Selden Halyard lead, ø20 x 57 mm, Stainless - For rope halyards
This is the standard halyard lead that comes with Furlex series 304/404. It is made of stainless steel and therefore only to be used for rope halyards - not wire. If you are using a wire halyard, order the bronze lead 508-128-03R instead. Bronze is softer than wire and therefore prevents damages to your halyard. The bronze version was included in all Furlex C, D, 300S/TD/E/H, 400S/TD/E/H, 304S/TD/E/H and 404S/TD/E/H from 1983 - 2024.
The kit comes complete with halyard lead, insulator to prevent contact between the stainless fitting and the aluminium mast section, M6 self-tapping screws and a ø5,3 mm drill-bit.
Important information on why you need a halyard lead!
Incorrect halyard routing can result in ”halyard wrap” which may cause severe
damage to the forestay, and put the entire rig at risk. The angle between the halyard
and the forestay must never be less than 10°!
